Christie's totaled more than $1.1 billion over two back-to-back evening sales in New York in May 2026, with Jackson Pollock's Number 7A selling for $181.2 million — almost triple the artist's previous record — and the S.I. Newhouse collection alone bringing in $631 million. New records were also set for Brâncuși, Miró, Rothko, and Alice Neel.
